Welcome to Downtown Hideaway

We hope you enjoy your stay!

Restaurants/Food suggestions (within walking distance):

Kurig:

  • Make sure it is plugged in, add desired water, replace the pod, press start.

Dishwasher:

  • Rinse off any food chunks, place dishes to avoid interrupting the spinners, add desired soap based on grime level, close the door, select cycle and press start. (2hr approx.)

Condo Door Lock:

  • Unlock: touch with two fingers to activate, press the numbers that appear to open the full pad then enter user code to unlock.
  • Lock: close the door fully, touch with two fingers to activate then touch the lock symbol to lock.

Laundry Room in Building:

  • There are building laundry machines located on the main level, to the East/right when exiting the elevator.  You will need to use the laundry card provided and load the card with funds to use the machines.  There is a kiosk located in the laundry room to add funds to the laundry card.

In-unit Washing/Drying Machine:

  • In the condo unit there is a special washing/drying machine designed specifically for use in this type of condo, which is not vented.

Please following these important instructions …

  • Maximum load size: 2 towels worth of clothing, or one sheet set, or three pairs of jeans.
  • Wash only cycle: Works great, power on the machine, and turn the knob to the Normal setting.  By default, this setting does not have a dry cycle. The clothes will come out humid at the end of the wash cycle.  From there, you must hang dry them using the drying rack provided (a small fan is also available to help if required).
  • Recommended: It is strongly recommended to use this approach when doing your laundry exclusively within the condo unit. You may also bring your washed clothes down to the laundry room if you do not wish to hang dry your clothes. A laundry basket has been provided for this in the laundry closet, as well as a laundry card for use in the laundry room.
  • Wash + Dry cycle (not recommended):
    • Due to it being a special (non-vented) machine, it takes much longer to dry (2-3 hours for towels or jeans).
    • Once the Normal setting is selected using the knob, press the Dry button all the way to the right, and select the Normal setting.
    • Once the dry cycle is engaged, the door will be locked and remain locked until some time after the elements cool down (cd is the code displayed).  A red locked icon will display and may extend beyond when the cd code no longer displays.
    • Please do not pull on the door while the lock icon is displayed or risk breaking the machine.
    • The cooling cycle and locked icon does not show a time remaining, but could take up to several additional hours to complete.  After this, your laundry may not be 100% dry, but will be less humid.
    • If using the dry cycle, it is best to plan, for example, starting your laundry at say noon and returning at say 5 pm to check on your clothes to see if the lock icon no longer displays so you can open the door.  At this point you may still need to use the dry rack to completely dry your laundry.
    • Please note, it is for this reason, this approach is not recommended.  If time is an issue, please use the laundry machines in the building laundry room to either wash and dry, or simply dry your laundry (see above).
